Default Forum Update Issue

Is it just me or since the forum update does the site not keep track of what you have viewed now? I rely fairly heavily on it "greying" out topics I have already clicked on or after I leave website for a while but now it never does that anymore until much later, many times I come back to the forum and it is bold as if I haven't read it yet my reply is the last one. For example this picture, note my Humminbird GPS Maps topic is bold but my reply is the last one.

Was just wondering if others were having this same issue and if so if it might be able to be fixed somehow. If you are having same issue let me know what browser, only other thing I can think of is maybe it was a Chrome update.

Mine is like that too. Some days it seems worse than others, somedays it works just fine.

Same ^ here.

I don't find that it's reliable, so I don't try to use that feature anymore.

For me, it's not a big deal, so I'm not bothered by it much.

It used to work pretty consistently but lately has been horrible, I believe it is since they did the update. Hopefully they can find a way to fix it.

If a mod/admin could let us know that this is being looked at or if it is going to stay the way it is would be appreciated. Just hoping this doesn't get buried without ever being noticed.

Thanks

Default Yup

I am sure it will be looked at but for the time being it will have to stay the way it is.

C'mon, is this really an issue? You can't remember the post you looked at and the general time frame that you done it in? If you're not sure just click on it, if you read it just hit that big ol "back" button.

Nope, I can't remember the most recent post times and posters in the 20+ threads that I look at every night... You must have a pretty amazing memory if you are able to do that.

The thing is that this function used to work, I am sure it did otherwise I wouldn't have only noticed it now after nearly 3 years of use... Probably just a setting that got changed or a glitch with the new forum update. That is why I brought it to the sites attention.

You knew this one was coming............ Why can't they fix it now? I know this is a member with way too much time on her hands these days.

Oh and another other side affect I just remembered is that when you click on the arrow beside thread name(takes you to newest unread post), something that I always do, it takes you to old posts and you have to weed forward to find the new ones. For example when I clicked on this thread it took me to Alberta Bigbores post.

What the hell is wrong with running across a couple issues and wanting to give the admin a heads up? Jeez, not like he's saying he's going to leave the forum forever if they don't get fixed rfn.

Seems to all work okay for me...Using Google Chrome in Windows 7 on the desktop and my phone, and Firefox on my tablet.
