Thank you for all the comments - we are still finalizing all the details and we will update you as they happen. We can tell you that we will be located in the northwest area of the city. We are very excited to open in Edmonton and a huge thanks again for all the support.

Then drive to dragon flight archery near Cremona/ water valley.
They have 50 yards + and probably 100 3d targets. Pretty fun place for an occasional shoot

Yes a 60 yard indoor range would be wicked I would imagine if any shop had something like this it would be packed. You would need to set it up like a golf course with "tee off times"
I am surprised no one has set up a all weather shelter like this yet!!

60yds is a bit of an unrealistic shot and mostly just for fun.
I doubt it would be packed, It's the 20yd shots that get's the most use at a range. Not the 30 or 40yd shots. And it would take too long to get your arrows and would be a very slow shooting process.
But it is fun to shoot longer ranges.

My target is set up at 80yds, the only time I shoot less than 80 is either when I'm shooting at a location that doesn't have 80yds or I'm sighting in. I have shot several animals over 60yds.

Unrealistic? How so?
Have you ever shot far? It is fun and challenging. If you practice at longer ranges you realize what a chip shot 40 or 50 yards is let alone 20. You build your skills much more at longer ranges IMO.
Either way I wouldn't assume the only range would be 60 yards but varying distances.

There was an archery shop on 51ave and somewhere around 83st that used to have 20yds one direction and 40yds the other with 3D targets and elevated shooting positions and such. Awesome range and right next door to my work place, I used to shoot there during my lunch and after work.
I'm thinking an indoor 3D range where, like you say, a group of guys book their T time and shoot a round would be an awesome idea. I might have to sell my business and do just that.
Hmmmmm

A long range walk about 3D course would be more fun and would require a tee time set up.
Yes I practice to 100yds when in the bush but wouldn't take that kill shot.
I have 5 targets that I take into the bush for practice and set them up in different spots.
It's far more impressive to take an animal at closer range and much more exilerating and heart pumping to shoot at 10yds than it is over 60yds.
It's actually far more skillful to get close to an animal.
It's like the guys that want to rifle shoot at 600yds or more.
If it works for you, more power to you
