Sounds great! By simply dumping some iron in the ocean we can replenish fish stocks and humans can keep right on breeding like rats, burn all the fuels they want for any purpose and all will be wonderful. I wish I was younger so I could witness the full benefits of continued population growth and increased consumption of resources. The future looks rosy indeed! Leeper

Do you think protesting Alberta's oilsands will stop China, India and Africa from reproducing?

I don't see your link between increasing localized plankton density, maybe improving fish stock and sequestering Carbon will cause more people to live whereas by you inference you want more people to die.

If we dumped X amount of iron in the oceans over the next 5 years and increased fish populations and stopped and even reversed what you believe is man made global warming...is that bad in principle?

Fertilizing the big reservoirs in the Kootenays has been successful at increasing fish populations.

China has one of the lowest population growth rates. They actually are trying to control their population.

Twenty thousand years of the best rainbow fishing on earth and man has nearly killed it three times in 120. the canary is screaming ... but hay listening gets one on the leftard hippy commie list. Didnt big oil tell us lead in gasoline was harmless. The alarm will sound when every thing is alright.wwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

^ Many people think hydro-electric is "Clean". Far from it, but who has the money to destroy the dams and produce a viable alternative? In a perfect world all rivers would be free-flowing and the fishing would be much better. If you have a trillion dollar clean energy answer to the energy crunch, what the **** are you doing wasting your time on a forum?

China is 1.4 billion people. They just eased their one child law.

That is a lot of people.

Most salmon runs in the west were destroyed by greenies wanting hydro power over oil.

All oil did was stop the whale slaughter by making whale oil more expensive that crude oil.

Man made global warming is, was, and always has been a myth. Just pure junk science based on emotion and propaganda. Worse than the anti gun nuts for zealousness.
