Maybe if they were long term members of a community they would learn to trust and be trusted more. The way its going, trust is deteriorating at a rapid pace and making it a scary place to be. I know when I get pulled over or cops are around I'm instantly nervous. Even if I haven't done anything. It shouldn't be like that. They're here to serve and protect, not Seize and Control.
If they got to know you than it is too personal when they need to address the law so that being said move them around so they can police accordingly, make sense now?

Yes, I have thought about that and I find it highly unlikely, to say the least. Do you realize the logistics involved behind something like that with no one blowing the whistle on what was happening or has since happened? It's not a simple matter of Harper picking up the phone and calling the Commish in order to get something like that done. Why would Harper want to shoot himself in the foot and tick off gun owners and the rural vote that he depends on anyway? It makes no sense whatsoever.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but how about this one.......Last weekend the Liberals had their party convention and one of the resolutions that was presented was to adopt Aussie type gun control. A few days following that, news of this RCMP gun confiscation came out. Hmmmmm......the timing is suspicious.

The RCMP have the authority to do what they did and they operate independently of the elected government in that capacity. C'mon, let's keep things real here, eh?

Somebody should send this on to Blaney with a note that the AR-15 began as a civilian rifle, not a military one.

Thank you so much for posting this rocpilefsj!
No problem, his youtube channel is full of good videos on firearm laws, gun grabs, gun registries, etc. He is the kind of voice the firearm community needs to change the negative perceptions people have of gun owners.

Default Minister of Safety

It is nice to see the minister of public safety covering his butt. But this is out of hand and when the RCMP reclassified guns he was well aware of it. He would have had to sign this document to reclassify not even a staff member would have been allowed to sign. As it changes a written law only he can change without his signature the RCMP could not have reclassified these guns.
