Default Youth/ladies broadheads

The girlfriend won a free 3 day black bear hunt for this may, so im looking for a broadhead that will penetrate good with a short draw length and low draw weight bow. She shot her first mule with the mx-3's, but they didnt penetrate all that well. I was thinking running the 100gr montecs like my set up but the rage 40k broadheads caught my eye. What does your kids/ladies use with there bows?

Grim reaper hades or slick trick magnums, both are wonderful broadheads.

Slick tricks but all she has killed is foam so far.

Muzzy phantom and Magnus stingers have good reviews, never used them myself, but might be worth a try. It's worth buying a few and shooting them to see how they group.

The problem with mx3, striker/blackout/copperhead etc is that the steep angle and thick blade requires more force. Fine if you're shooting a 70 lb 2 cam. Otherwise not so much. Mechanicals belong in commercials not quivers. Remember if it fails on a bear, someone might get eaten.

Thanks for the replies guys! I have no problem with mechanicals just like the reliability of fixed. Got my first mule buck with a rage when the broadhead just hit the market. No complaints from me the arrow blew threw him on a tight quartering away shot and he went down within 30 yards. Anyone's kids/ladies have success with the montecs?

LABowhunter's 10 year old son dusted a doe last season down in TEXAS with a 100gr Montec. I think his draw weight is about 28#

Your wife would have zero problems shooting an Alberta black bear at 40# from treestand distance with a Montec!!

I also shoot the 100g montecs and i haven't had a problem yet. Wasn't quite at 50lbs and my arrow went right thru my deer.

Although I just bought some pink toxic broad heads, so I haven't killed anything with them yet, but they look super deadly! I have the 100g in them as well.

My girlfriend shoots the pink montec in 100 gr. She has shot two white tail bucks and a mule deer buck and passed through on all of the. She shoots 42 lbs.

My vote is for the Magnus stingers or any other cut on contact for that matter. Years ago a young friend of mine shot clean through an elk with a 40 lb compound and Magnus stingers at about 20 yards.

I bought these but haven't been able to try them yet but thought they might be a good fit:

My draw is 26 and i shoot 45 pnds. My arrows use 80gr. So all depending right.

Picked them up at Cabela's in Edmonton.
