Default New Paint On The Missus Axis

Finished Rhonda's .30-06 stock a while ago. Nothing like some "Ballet Slipper Pink" to fem up the wilderness......

I've heard negative things about the axis but so many people seem to be buying them still and the price is great. What is your personal experience with the accuracy of this gun? Any complaints?

Rhonda is new to the sport of hunting. After passing her Hunters Ed course she started 3 seasons ago and has bagged 4 deer with it. After playing around with reloading for it, i cannot develop a load better than the Winchester Supreme 168 grain Nosler Combined Technologies round. It works very well. Its a beginners rifle and there are no complaints so far. She kills stuff with it....

That would be like giving up the 11 secret herbs and spices, or how they get the Caramel in there.

Thumbs up Nice!

Nice finish there.
I was wondering if the missus is using the original recoil pad or an aftermarket?

Lots on youtube about different ways. I do think it best that one practices on a piece of scrap first to get some cobwebs out. Looks like a nice job. Considering doing one myself. One site says the paint doesn't last for long but that just means one can try another pattern every so often. An interesting subject. Thanks for posting.

The durability of the paint is only as good as the clear coat that is used.

Compliments on a great thread.

Your work on your Lady's rifle is obviously superb, very nice! In addition; by the looks of those Deer photos, your Mrs. is quite handy afield indeed.

Fantastic!
