The advantage is it being aerosol, you can spray multiple coats and get in chamber etc and other nooks and crannies you would otherwise possibly miss with regular paste wax.
Thats sounds pretty much the same as one shot case lube. The only mold release Ive ever seen or used was either brushed on or sprayed on with a weed sprayer. Ill have to pick some up, Acklands?

Ive been using one shot case lube for bedding lately works great
