How do you anchor snares when no tree nearby
Just like the title says, how do you guys anchor your snares when no trees near by to tie off too? Got a few ideas the at I considering, but it is always good to here from people who do it lots.

Fox and coyote. I'm pretty much done this year but after reading some stuff on open country snaring I was wondering what those people did for anchoring. I have bent a few stakes trying to pound them into frozen ground while running foot holds, figured there might be a better way

I made stakes like in the picture.....the support was attached to the link on the stake and the snare was attached to the end of the short chain. As its a long nail, I never had any trouble pounding them in. But be sure to use an extra long snare, ala Martys instructions.

I thought of using something like this but was unsure if they were strong enough , so I made some 18" 3/8 rebar ones that so far have been good . Maybe overkill tho and if these smaller ones are good I'll make some of them .Could I bother you to post a photo of the support you use for the snare ?
