CZ 75 Handguns
I'm interested in purchasing a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical in 9mm. I'd sure like to get some feedback, good and/or bad, from my fellow AO members on any of the CZ line of semi-auto pistols. Thanks!

You won't hear too many bad things about CZ pistols, they are well made and durable.

I took my new Shadow to the range for the first time last week. Best shooting pistol I've ever owned.
I've owned other pistols and got used to the level of accuracy I could achieve with them. Somehow, the Shadow cut the size of my groups in half and I'm not doing anything differently!

I've checked several pistols and ended up choosing CZ75 due to it's construction, fit and reputation. Mine is a 9mm and I like it a lot.

12,000+ rounds through my 75 SP01 Shadow, mostly with handloads.
These rounds were fed through 6 CZ mags and they all feed reliably.
Having mag issues in a semi is a PITA so no worries in that regard with the CZ75 series.
My only problem is the occasional (1 in 500) stovepipe, usually caused by ammo issues or poor grip technique.
The gun has a solid feel and the controls happen to be in the right place for my hands. Being all steel, it helps minimize felt recoil.
iirc, the SP01 series' sights are slightly faster to acquire than the ones on the original CZ75 configuration, due to a bigger rear sight gap. This helps speed things up in action pistol shooting.
Before you buy, may I suggest you shoot as many makes & models as you can. Lots of great pistols out there.

I've got a CZ 75 Compact in 9 mm that I carry. Love it, great feel when shooting and accurate.

Agree with all sweet reviews above
But want to add s spoon of salt.
Grips are too small-not comfortable enough for me.
So I choosed Jericho 941.
You should try as many different guns as possible,or start collection.

They work very VERY well…
Pistol of 50-75% of IPSC production class shooters.

Thanks for the replies on this, it's greatly appreciated. I've done a fair bit of research so far as this would be my first handgun. Between checking info out online, talking with experienced and knowledgeable gun owners/shooters (yourselves included), and trying a number of different makes, models and calibers at the local indoor range, I believe I'm making a pretty good decision to go with a CZ. I sure like shooting the 9mm in an all steel pistol. As I get more shooting time in, I'll develop preferences to things such as the type of sights, safety features and all the rest of the good stuff that go along with this......soon to be addiction. I can hardly wait. Keep the info coming on all of your CZ models. It's refreshing!

Shadow has a much better trigger than a Tactical model (from factory)
and, as mentioned before, it`s a choice #1 for the IPSC Production division shooters
have 2 Shadows (one - over 20K and second - new) - will not change....

My CZ-75B dual tone had one mag that took a hundred rounds or so to break in, since then it's never failed to feed anything I've put through it!
The trigger isn't as good as your average 1911 but it isn't bad either and 9mm ammo isn't too expensive so you can shoot lots.
Hard to go wrong with this gun!
