predator call for wolves?

i posted this in hunting but thought i'd post here also.
we have an area where a pack of 10-15 have been active the last couple weeks. a local said the "deer fawn in distress" call works but thats kinda vague. can anyone suggest a call to buy that might work?
i realise you trappers use bait to trap but were rifle hunting. thanks.

Wolf do not always travel in packs, often a wolf will be off scouting about by itself. If a lone young wolf hears you are howling like a alpha wolf it does not recognize it will run away. If the alpha male hears a strange wolf in his territory, he may challenge. A fawn in distress will attract any wolf, but that call does not carry very far. Another more useful call is a young wolf in distress. When I hear a human voice I can tell if it is a young or older person, I can easily tell if it is a man or woman. I can often tell if the person is angry or happy. Wolves are the same, your call could bring them or chase them away. Same with calling coyotes,deer,moose or any animal.
