Gun buy back programs
Participating in a gun buy back program because people think that criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you think your neighbors have too many kids...

I never could figure the logic of a "gun by back " program either.
Unless you had a POS rifle that you could not without conscience sell to someone!

I liked some I had seen where gun aficionado's organized to participate, bringing in rusted old heaps of junk or extremely cheap & low quality firearms and making a profit on the buy-back amount, then going and buying shiny new firearms & ammunition with the money
I love the irony of using money recieved from Anti's to buy guns; they should run those programs in perpetuity, we'd have to start importing rusty pieces of crap by the containerload!

I love buy back programs. Those that sell their junk firearms and buy more or donate to NRA type organizations make my day.
The others who sell perfectly good firearms are too stupid to own them in the first place.

Heck, lots of people turn those in without even asking for compensation.

In the end, it really only accomplishes one thing ... it makes the politicians involved, look good to naive voters.
