At 3,000-FPS, the new 17 Win Super Mag is the fastest, flattest-shooting rimfire cartridge in the world. And the new Savage B.MAG was designed to deliver that blistering speed with all the accuracy of a Savage.

I have spoke to a couple guys who handled them at the shot show - both mentioned it was a total POS.... For what it's worth.

Handled them? POS? So it means they look like a Savage. LOL Doesn't indicate what they shoot like.

Does anyone know if they have made their way to Canada yet or when we can expect to see them here? Thanks.

To some (myself included) there is more to a rifle than just the way it shoots. To each their own....

Supposedly on par with 17HMR to keep it competitive, the big question is if anyone else other than Winchester will offer ammo.

All I ever see is people complaining about how much HMR is on here.

To me, the most important thing is accuracy in a rifle. If it isn't accurate there has to be another reason to buy it or keep it. This could be how it fits, or an interest in a certain style of action.

Sounds like they just grabbed the MSRP price to start up that rumor.

listed at MSRP: $349.00 on the savage site: http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/bmag/

Default b mag

Excuse my posting. First time post. Long time lurker. Might as well be honest.

Go to Wholesale homepage. Click on summer gear guide. It's in here and been there for a couple months. $349.

About a month ago I got the wholesale summer flyer in the mail. They were advertising the new Bmag for$349.00. I went in to wss and they said they don't have them and are not sure if they will see them this year or not.. Not quite sure why they are advertising them already.

Nothing wrong with WSS. 99% of shoppers know what they want. Also, many of those know how to use a phone to call the store of choice to see if said item your looking for is in their store.. thus saving you a trip. Which then you would re route to another store.

In the world of outdoor and tackle shops... expecting perfection is your first mistake.

Save me a trip? Half the fun is wandering around and browsing the whole store listing to funny stories from shoppers and salesmen alike. Would hate to think I missed out on that just because they didn't have what I wanted

Exactly. But so many go and just complain what they needed wasnt there. I like visiting all the shops.

In other news, in typical AO fashion another thread goes sideways. Film at 11.

As indicated above, anyone know if/when this firearm will make its way to Canada?

Thought I read something in AO magazine that they likely wouldn't hit Canada until 2014. Perhaps something Mr. Voth wrote?
