Default Saskatchewan Lake/Cabin Recommendations Wanted.

Mrs. Omega and I driving to Winnipeg in August and have about 5 days in hand to return to Calgary from Winnipeg.
We will have all of our fishing gear and have never fished Saskatchewan before and would love to see some country.

Hoping someone on the forum could recommend a drive to lodge/lake with cabin and fishing boats to rent.
Would love to target Perch

Love Dief, but its big and hard to learn. More types of fish from multiple trout, sturgeon, perch, walleye, jack, sauger, goldeye, etc.

Last Mountain has monster eyes.

Quappelle lakes can provide some good experiences.

Canoe lake for eyes or some others in the Meadow Lake Prov park. There was one small lake that started with an M I believe and was plumb full of perch. If I remember I will post.

Makwa Lake is a great lake for perch. You'll also hammer lots of jacks. They got cabins at Pine Cove Resort for rent. We used to go there every summer, stopped going because they no longer have boat rentals (and we don't own a boat).

Thanks much for the suggestions.
Morphing the plan a bit to come up through Dauphin and Swan River, then hit Tobin for 2 nights. Now I just need a destination for 2 nights between Tobin and home.
Boat rental is a must.

Tail end of the annual fishing trip to Lac Du Bonnet 5 overnights on the family houseboat. So always love to catch walleye , but will have done alot of that by the end of the trip.
So, Perch are calling

Head north from Swan into the Porcupine hills/forest. Spirit, Townsend, Elbow, Isbister, Woody Lake all within a couple km's of each other. My parents used to own a cabin at the Elbow lake subdivision, I spent many summers chasing fish in that area. Smallfish lake on the way used to have good numbers of perch.

Default Check this place out.

If you are in Flin Flon country you might want to try Mirond Lake. Newmart Resort is on the south end of the lake and the beauty and tranquility of the place is well worth checking out. Great cabins and boats and the fishing goes without saying. Fishing and being in the Pre Cambrian Shield is awesome. The lake is north of Jan Lake west of Flin Flon.

Grew up 15 minutes from Lockport.
Caught my first big Channel Cat there in 1967 and fished it pretty hard til I left for the West in the early 80's
Silver Bass(Freshwater Drums) on crayfish(back in the day)
Greenbacks every fall.
It is a great spot
