22 ammo in short supply

Well it's been a busy spring already for the 10/22 Ruger and Savage HMR.
As luck would have it I stumbled upon a honey hole of gopher shooting and have gone thru a lot more ammo than expected....over 1500 rounds of YJs and over 700 of 17HMR.

17 HMR is readily available but quality 22 ammo not so much.
Should have bought a case of Yellowjackets when I had the chance.
Can Tire has cheapo Blazer and Winchester stuff but I'm looking for better.
Anybody know someplace that still has Yellowjackets in stock?

I noticed that the bulk packs of 22 lr are becoming scarce i ended up buying 15 packs of federal and 40 50 packs so i can shoot like crazy with the girl

Walmart had tons of federal bulk packs and cabelas had a bit of everything. Mind you, thats up here. Edmontonish

I'm jealous of the gopher weather down there. We have had snow every weekend for almost a month. Lots of .22lr in Edmonton still, I guess that doesn't help you much.

On my way back from Calgary gun show I stopped in red deer and Edmonton and bought no less then 10,000rnds of .22 LR ammo, both federal 525 bulk (bought a flat at cabelas) and Remington golden bullets (bought lots in red deer)...

When you fellas down south run outta ammo just gimme a call and put some coke on ice, I will be glad to share providing you take me out.

I'm not that easy!

Besides, I have about 7,500 rounds right now (but have yet to see a *@#@! gopher). But yes, the shelves in Calgary are looking a little bare.

......I will bring out the .50 cal muzzle stuffer, ever bowl for gopher with a .490 round ball? Launches em pretty good

C'mon!... My alternate plan is going for a weekend to Lloyd and visiting the inlaws... But I don't think they are crown royal fans

I was at Bashaw Sports today and they are limiting sales to 1 brick per customer. Pud says it is nearly impossible to get. FS

It's a good thing that I have 20,000 rounds of 22lr on hand.

went to two different canadian tires and a walmart, as well as bass pro. No one has any bulk (except for thunderbolts which are garbage). Only saw a couple random 50rd boxes and the odd 100 rd CCI. If anyone knows of any bulk in calgary (federal, win 555) let me know!

On my way back from Cranbrook yesterday, I stopped at Home Hardware in Blairmore. They were well stocked up on CCI.

Can Tire in the Hat has lots of the Federal HP bulk packs....too bad it's not what I want.
May put an order in on Yellowjackets from Cabelas when I get time and if they still have em.

I'd like to get my hands on a few more boxes of Fed or American Eagle but with what I have on hand right now I should be ok for the summer I will just have to slow my boys down on the semis during our range sessions.

With the lack of ammo I saw when I was in the States I am not suprised we are getting low up here.

Just got back from Canadian Tire in Marlborough. They had serveral bulk 525 Federal and CCI Blazer 525. Bought one of each. If anyones looking, id suggest going there!!
