Before Mathews or others it was Golden Arrow that revolutionized the modern bow inovations...they came up with a lot of firsts ..cut away risers..proper for broadheads, working recurve limbs on compounds, built in overdraws, 1/4 " adjustable draw systems..[that should still be used] and thats just to mention a few...they were the shooters...I shot most of their line until the started to sell from one company to another and soon quaility wasnt there and they just faded away...

I remeber when they shocked the bow world with a "mini" unheard of 36" bow...lol

Loved them...took a hockey sock full of critters with them..

Speaking of socks, I had a pair of camo limb nylon mesh stretcheys
that you could fold over the limbs and secure with velco tabs.
I then proceeded to wrap the riser with camo tape like a ritual every
Sept. Cloak out the bow.

It was a shooting machine for sure. 70lb 30" DL Easton 2117s.

Think I took 6 or 7 bucks, 9 does and stopped counting, with that bow.

The model I had originally came with Osage Orange and Yew cross
laminated limbs but the warped in the heat of Sept. in my car.
I took it into work left it in the car with the windows up it got hot that day.
I was driving a 1973 Dodge Charger at the time, SE baby blue with a
white top, side pipes, Cregars with G60s on the back F70s on Keystones up front. All Jacked up and all decked out.

The heat in car warped my limbs and Coleman replaced them at no cost
to me, and that was my falt.

Hope I didn't help put them out of bussiness.

Anyway I did put that bow up for sale on Ebay some years back,
and I hope the kid in Texas is still shooting it today, it was a very fine bow.

ahhh getting ride of the old girl eh...I purchased a Jennings Sonic XLR in 1994
60LBS draw weight, still have Easton 2219 game getters. Have taken many animals over the years with it, shoot fingers with it, she still has a few more critters left in her but man those new bows are sure tempting eh?

around my area owned one.

That bow back then was like an elite Hoyte bow 10 years ago.

I bought the Golden Eagle hunter in 1987. I had to custom order 31-33 inch draw, about 74 lb draw weight with a 43" axle to axle length. Was one of, if not the first recurve bow limb compounds around. Smoothest bow I ever owned, and still have it today. I have not shot if for quite a few years now, used to shoot 31 1/2" 2317's. I put an overdraw on it years ago and went to carbon arrows when they came in. This picked up the speed to a blistering 256 fps.
