Default Model 1895 30US value

Just wondering what this firearm is worth, don't now much about them?

Nothing.... might as well just send it to me.
I'll use it to prop up the hood on my truck or something...honest

I'm not sure what they are really worth but Cabellas seems to think they should start at about 650-700 bucks. The fancier ones top out at about 900 give or take....IIRC.
Thats what they are asking for the ones in their Edmonton Gun Library anyway.

I've wanted one for years but just can't see myself paying that much for something that will probably see very little daylight.

I'd hang onto it... I don't imagine the worth of it will decrease over time and its value to you might be more than that anyway.

Oldbadger paid $700 for one a while back, however yours looks like it has a non- original for end on it!!
All the ones I have ever seen had a very slim for end, or a top hand gaurd style for end on them.

ya it looks like a Marlin forestock...mine has a Schnabel forestock like most i have seen

These are the three styles I have seen, mostly the carbines in .303 or the rifles wit the slim for end in 30/40
