Seeing that schedule makes me appreciate just how lucky we are to have a range that has no set hours. I am usually done shooting, and am on my way home by 9AM.

Elk - I don't envy anybody the drive on '63 to get there. An earlier start time would be nice, but we like to make sure all the mom's get their kids on the bus before the shooting starts. Good local politics makes for long lasting Ranges in populated areas.

I do understand the reasons for your hours of operation, I just consider myself fortunate to have a range that isn't under that kind of political pressure. The one thing that I will miss about leaving the city, is the range facility that we do have.

Football - That's good to hear, the website lists only the last Sunday...but with the cap being reached, they are probably trying to finish the orientations for all the newbies.

Orientations are required only for new members who are unfamiliar with the Range. Members in coolpete1's circumstance would not be considered "new" members as neither Range Rules or Facilities have changed substantively since he was last a member.
