Oh, and no way can we forget the absolutely brilliant cover that Johnny Cash did of 'Hurt', that one really impressed me!

Afghan wigs. It was off of the burning London tribute album along with

More of a straight cover but pretty decent. Moby's cover of straight to hell on it is, frankly put, haunting.

I was listening to it on the way home , never even dawned on me!!

Recently heard a cover of Dylan's Girl from the North Country by The Lions. Liked it. Been a ton of bands cover Dylan's songs and in many cases I prefer them to his version. The guy wrote a pile of great songs...

Holy smokes some great covers here that I hadn't heard before; I especially like that cover of little wing

Always preferred Manfred Mann's version of the Boss's Blinded By the Light- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJh47LybCkU

Thing is, a lot of Dylan's songs go on to be hits for others and no one realizes it. The man's output is amazing, I doubt he can even keep track.

Speaking of, not a hit, but one of my favorites

And one for Jimi, a nice young guitarist

As good as it was I thought Rusty Cage was better, hurt was a great song to begin with. IMO rusty cage was a medicre song in its original form, Cash played it the way it wanted to be played.

And from a Canadian band, Paint it Black by GOB. I love this one cause back in highschool when I was playing in punk/ ska bands I always wanted to do this song, just could never get it to sound right, these guys nailed it.
