Cold Lake Video Report
Headed out the Cold Lake when I was up in Canada on December 31, 2012 with my uncle. It was my first time fishing there on the ice and we had a great day. Ice was about 14 inches thick and only 2-3 inches of snow on the ice. Quite a few trucks out that the various locations. We picked on and it worked out well for us. I was using my new MarCum VX-1P and that this really does make fishing for these lakers fun! Check out the video if you are so inclined. Its kind of like a fishing show, I give some tips and show how the MarCum works, even catch a few on video and one while recording the Marcum.
I went back on January 2nd with my dad and brother and had another great day. I'll make that video later.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Glad you like the video, I'll post some more in the next few days.
Hopefully you don't all fish it out before I can get back there, haha.
Happy new year to all have fun on the ice.

That video was awesome, I like how jacked up you get lol, I'm like that to whereas my wife goes dead silent and into full on concentration mode when she hooks one hahaha.
Please be a bit more careful when putting your fingers under the gill plate though, lake trout are very sensitive to gill damage and will bleed profusely from the gills if you do it wrong. Other than that that was a awesome video and looked like a great day of fishing. I might even try that spinner blade buck tail combo I think I got a few blades in my tackle box.

Nice
Great job there Brandon, it's not that easy most days lol. Was out there today and and pulled up two undersize. Was fishing with boys who have never hooked onto one before, I'm sure they would appreiate the videos. Best part of the day was giving my rod to buddy to reel her up from the bottom after a hookset, his smile and sense of accomplishment when we pulled it out of the hole was memories for sure. Keep it up!

comments under the video
Wow, Lakelandfishin must either be a warden or a local (Cee U Next Tuesday) that thinks that Cold Lake is his own private pond.

cool video man! I think we were fishing right behind you there!
Try not to grab the gill plate when you take them out of the hole, if the gill gets damaged even a little, thats a dead fish.
keep up the good work on the videos love watchin'em!
