Default Apple Pie Mooneshine

While out on our annual moose hunt this year, one of our counterparts brought along some homemade apple pie moonshine. If you have the time and like the taste of apple pie filling, I'd suggest whipping some up and trying it. There is no actual homemade moonshine in it. The recipe calls for high test grain alchohol, like Everclear. Just google "apple pie moonshine" and check it out. Simple to make and really tasty around the campfire!!!!

4l apple
4l apple cider
3 cups sugar
8 cinnamon sticks
1l everclear

Bring juice cinnamon and sugar to a boil, remove from heat let cool, mix in everglade.
Enjoy responsibly.
May work better than lemon gin.

I have drank this stuff on numerous occasions. The first time I drank it, it was made by Bubba the Love Sponge, a radio guy who used to be on Sirius. Tastes just like apple pie, but it really gives you a kick... for days, depending on how much you drink.

Everclear is or is damn close to the cheapest alchohol avsilable in Alberta, be wary of it, has no flavor and atleast for me is easy too drink at 190 proof is dangerous. But if you know what your doing makes for some great mixed drinks!!!

Yup, be careful of the stuff. Teens seem to love it.

My ex's 16 year old came home one night, totally out of it. Sat in the corner of her bedroom rocking and crying looking for her dog that was dead for 2 years at that point. I really thought she was on meth. One of her concerned friends called not long after to say she was drinking everclear and to keep an eye on her - drank too much too fast.

You'd be supposed my man, I had a nephew that was stayin with me come home from partying one night; was sittin on the couch talkin to things that weren't there, thought he was on acid, asked him the next day and he produced a 1/4 bottle of Everclear... Shook me a little bit. Especially when they can hold it down...

Haha.. I didn't have that problem. Ask my hubby about me and Everclear.

No wait, please don't.

Everclear does not make you hallucinate, just gets you crazy drunk. 1 shot is like 2.5 beers. So drinking a quarter bottle would be like drinking 25 beers, problem is if you mix it with lemon juice the first few swings are strong as all heck but after you don't even realize it, so you can consume a fair bit if your a larger bodied individual. Definatly not something people who are not fully developed should be drinking. Mass consumption has provided me with long term problems and I have not drank it in 4 years.

Didn't say he was hallucinating, just that he was mumbling nonsense to nothing

We would make runs from northern BC to Alaska just to buy Everclear. It was illegal in Canada then. Yup we smuggled it. Cept if you were a trapper, then ya could buy so many bottles in BC, my buddy bought it but never used it for processing pelts or whatever it was used for. We drank it.

Ya could get Hyderized.

Many years ago you had to bring Everclear in from the USA my buddy was showing everybody at a party how flamable this stuff was by lighting a shot glass full on fire, he was holding the glass in his hand when he tried to blow out the flame. The fire blew forward like a blowtorch and he spilled the contents on his arm ,leg and the carpet after rolling on floor to put out the fire we took him to the hospital for dressings.

After that we always treated that stuff with respect !

Applepie moonshine sounds like a good drink though

Think it would be around 10.6% alcohol

Sounds pretty good though

This is such a timely post. Last week I was out in Saskatchewan bird hunting with my family and one night my cousin pulled out a bottle for everyone to try.

He said it was apple pie everclear and his buddy makes it. Tasted pretty good for sure. Not something you could drink much of though. Maybe just a taste here and there.

Another good one is to buy a few bags of skittles pick out your favourite colour, fill a bottle 1/4 full then top it up with ever. Let sit for 2 days, and deep freeze, and strain it a couple times. Works well with vodka too

I still have my official laminated card from the Glacier Inn in Hyder.I have been Hyderized. You could also buy an A.K 47 and a thousand rounds for 700$ at the Border Bandit.I asked the guy about paperwork and he said "Yer Canadian, once you cross that border you ain`t my problem."
He also sold serious pro grade fireworks.
