Default Proof that proper wrapping and freezing can preserve meat for a long time

Just wanted to show what a good quality wrap, wrapping job, and freezing can do to maintain quality of meat.

Deer roast from 2008

Minimal "freezer burn"....just trim it off and away you go

Another quick tip for those of you who picked up meat from me tonight. Try not to over cook it, because it is so lean the meat will be better if cooked from the rare to medium end of the scale.

Enjoy

Just picked up my bag of wild game.
Thanks again! Can't wait to cook it up - just in time for planning stews and chili for fall!

I would be grateful for a small amount if you have some left. I am on my own so don't require much. Very kind of you and by the way i live in Thorsby. do I qualify?

Unfortunately I have given away what I had to give away.....if I stumble on some more (I will check with some other family members) then I will let you know.
