The driving part doesnt bother me as I like driving so even if its a 12 hour drive to the yukon I would quite enjoy it. And like you mentioned id save money. I was researching outfitters in northern BC and the Yukon and from what I gather the best thing to do would be to wait a tad longer, save up more money then go for a moose and add on a caribou. Thanks again

Look at Corkscrew Creek Outfitters in BC for caribou. You can drive there and it is a horseback hunt with great success. He is booked for 2012 but should be able to go for 2013. It was $5000 for Mtn caribou when I talked to him this past winter. I also mounted a caribou from this outfit and they are super heavy horned bulls. Worth looking into if you can wait. Also look at Lehman Creek Outfitters in the same area. Surprisingly they are not up North like you think but more central BC.
I just couldn't wait any longer and paid more to go elsewhere this year,if not I would have booked with Corkscrew if they had an opening

Really depends on the state but yes, some states do allow you to just purchase bonus points. None of the states have a true priority system like here but bonus points do get you name in the hat more times. There really is no predicting when you'll draw on most of the premier species.
