It would be pretty tough for me not to throw an arrow his way.

Nice pics.

James, I know what thats like. Out of the last batch, 20 pictures were of bears, the other 103 were of ravens..... glad thats no 35 mm... And I'm still considering putting those 2 cameras out. probably wont.... I'll save the 35mm ones for deer.

Sensitivity adjustment would help the bird problem.
Most trail cam units have this adjustment.

Great looking bear....love the color......and great hide on him. I think I would be sending an arrow his way Greg from Treebark Camera's sure puts together a great camera. Great pictures and looking forward to seeing a close up with you behind it.

These pics are the first ones to get me pumped for next week. (i will be guiding, not hunting, but still fun none the less) That bear had a real nice coat on him. Not the biggest pumpkin, but i can't lie, i would be launching a projectile!!

I almost had him once already, but he wouldnt give me a shot... kept movig on me. Well, I'm hoping to get him or another this week. Going back out tonight, Wednesday and all day Thursday. Baits running out, and getting harder to find. I think Thursday will be the day, but I hope it will be sooner. I was hoping to maybe get two this year, now I praying to get one. But yeah, I would take him in an instant given the right shot.... The girlfriend is looking at a black one thats coming in with him now... I told her to take either given the opportunity. I'll probably be sitting on a different bait tonight. but come wednesday night, I'll be back on this one.

James: another thing you can do other than adjust the sensitivity is set the timer to space the pictures apart.... I changed mine from 3 mins to 6. cuts down on the raven pics. I get a few less bear ones too... but I get more bears per number of pictures now

Congrats for you! Funny 'eh. My wife always expects me to come back from hunting trips all refreshed and charged up. Those long days in the field run ya down, but worth it in the end.

Albertabowhunter,

Your bear may not be as big as the one in my Avitar, but big deal - YOUR bear is a true trophy in that it is your FIRST BEAR! What a great feeling, and no matter what other bears you take in your lifetime, this one will always be your first, and you will always remember the thrill of your first bear!

Congrats again! Can't wait to see the pics/hear the story.

By the way, the bear in my avitar took literally thousands of hours to get (and I'm not exagerating!) over several seasons, and has been aged at 23+ years of age!

Very cool AlbertaBowHunter

You can hear the excitement just in your post. What an adrenalin rush eh?!?!?! Doesn't matter what size of bear it was, you worked hard for it, and you successfully harvested it. Good for you. Like the others, can't wait to see posted pictures of your trophy.
