I have a Win 100 .308 semi auto that is "gathering dust". It was my dad's rifle and I mostly bird hunt. From what I can figure out it was manuf in 1971. The last year of manuf of these models was 1973. The wood is in good shape and I had the barrel re-finished as there was some rust due to non use. I would estimate 20 rounds through it in the last 25 years. Never a cycling issue that I know of.

It has a Tasco 4x40 scope on it.

2 x 5 round clips as well.

I am trying to get a sense of the value to determine if I want to sell it or keep it due to sentimental value.

Thanks

Keep it for sentimental value, it is worth more to you then the guy that would buy it for peanuts.

I would keep it for the sentimental value but on thing you could do is sell the second mag they are tough to find lately and I saw one at a gun show recently guy wanted 75.00 bucks for it And it didnt take long and it was gone. If we could buy from gun clip depot the are 89.00

Never sell your dad's rifle.
Honestly, used guns, there's not a whole lot to be made unless they're really high end and rare breeds it seems.

But...but, I have peanuts and want it too?!.
Really, it doesn't take up much room and once its gone, you can never get it back. Never know, might get into rifle shooting someday. Or your kids might. Be nice to have grandpa's rifle.
If you ever decide to sell, let me know. I'll give it a good home.

I have a enfield that was used in vimy ridge by my great grandfather. It was passed from him to my grandfather to my dad and to me. I was going to put a new monte Carlo stock on it and clean t up. But after thinking about it for a long time, I came to the conclusion that it would be a travesty to do that as I could give it to my daughter one day and pass this family history on. Best decision I think I've made to date. While yours may not be that old, you can start the same history with your own family. And that's worth more than a couple hundred bucks IMO.
