Default new trigger?

hey guys, i'm shooting a savage 111 .30-06 and considering putting a new trigger on it.
what would you guys recommend?
i've heard good things about timney, but no idea of the cost or anything.
also, this may be a dumb question but can you get an accutrigger after market?
thanks a lot.

Accutriggers are not available as a stand-alone part. Even if you purchased a used one, I am doubtful that it is interchangeable. Timney is a good option as are Rifle Basix. See Fall Air Fever's thread in this regard, sounds like he's pretty satisfied with his. Here is the thread for you

Yup! Very happy with the Rifle Basix I put in my Savage Axis. 95 bucks delivered. Took 10 days to get to me, the customer service was great when i e-mailed and called. Fairly easy to install. Very easy to set up once it was in. Very crisp. Plenty light, it will go lighter than I have it set.

I have not been able to get it out and shoot it yet but will supply a range report and hopefully some pics of a bunch of tiny groups out of my 308

thanks guys, i'll definitely check out rifle basix and timney
also, would you guys change it out yourself or bring it to a smith? i have no idea how to do any of that, and i know you'd get instructions for it, but would it be worth doing it on your own?

We have the model 631 in stock @ 112 plus tax - for savage. Timney was violating US laws by shipping anything listed at over $100 . They now require an import cert plus a fee payment of 2 or $300 - can't recall exactly.

We are in Spruce Grove - RPS.

Absolutely do it yourself. I installed my Timney. You'll have it back together before you would be at your gunsmiths parking lot! The only tools I used were a vice, a file, some fine grit sand paper. I also had to use a die grinder to remove a tiny bit of stock material, that was in conflictvwith the shap of the new Timney.

Super easy!!

Precision - how about a Jewell (rem 700 style) with bottom safety?

Smile Basix

And no you cannot fit an accu trigger after market. If I can install the trigger (with Clay's help on the phone) any one can, you too. It is simple, works great and has made my savage a sub moa shooter. It is a good deal, it came in the mail!
