If you drive west far enough there is no more snow. It was still -10C in the morning though.

Hunting by Kimberley.
Festus' bird came to a tiny purr from a slate after we got close to a group of Toms gobbling their heads off. It was a couple of hours after sun-up. He was about 80 yards away when the birds heard the purr and came trotting single file towards him. He took the lead bird at about 40yds. It was way to exciting for him to wait any longer. I had sneaked into about 20 yds below the group just under a little rise. I still hadn't called yet but was just planning to when the birds began to move off a little. Ten seconds later there was a boom. Then the group trotted right back past me at about 40 yds. I decided not to shoot. Festus' 3" #4s from the Benelli dropped him.
My bird was a completely different story. We went to a different location with a flat pasture adjacent to a very steep mountain slope. We walked along the bottom stopping to call with the box call every once in a while. It was around 10:30am. We finally got a gobble about 200yds away. We waited but nothing happened. One more gobble but then nothing. We moved into the area but the bird must have left. Sat for a while, called, and finally an answer from a few hundreds above us. The bird had gone up the 60 degree slope behind us. Time to climb. I went up about 500 yds and found a logging road. Soft call on the box...Gobble, about half way down, and over a hundred yards. I move over to the side, find a place to hide. Wait 10 min, soft call... Gooble... maybe 20 yards below the road cut. Heart is pumping again! Waiting is hard. 5 min, 10min....frustration. Look left, nothing, look right... black body comes over the edge at about 40 yds, head down and feeding. Adjust my body, wait for head to come up, boom. Falls over, and then is up awkwardly and over the edge heading down. I run over see him stumbling and give him another. When I came over the edge there is another Tom standing 20 yds away staring at me. On the second shot my bird starts tumbling down this steep slope. He went over a hundred yards until he finally ran into a tree. Now that was exciting! I was using my ancient Rem 870 with 2 3/4" #4s.
