Stauffers employed by the OEG. He's paid to gush over everything Oiler.
The guys terrible. Much better when he was flying solo and free to criticize at length. Oilers hired him to shut him up.
Love hearing him talk about his hockey career. Ya Bob, AA bantam and midget hockey is real high end stuff. One step from the bigs buddy.

Well then carry on thinking you can nibble around the edges hoping it's the route to the cup. Your GM thinks it is. By the way, what was Kane's save % tonight, or his GAA?
If you want/need quality you have to give up quality and everybody but the GM knows you need quality between the pipes and on defense. Where's it going to come from? Certainly nothing in the system to pull this out of the fire and the abra cadabra magic show left town decades ago.
How many other teams in the league have been able to find/develop goaltenders that weren't household names? Lots. Calgary's back up is better than any of the three goalies on Edmonton's roster and he wasn't even on the team last year. What's the problem up there? Too star stuck with a couple of golden boys who everyone thought were going to lead them to the promised land? We're starting to see how well that's working out.
Keep riding the "damn the torpedo's" all we need is Batman and Robin to win this thing bus and the team will be taking the Slim Pickens ride to the "promised land"

It sounds like you need to go take a drive and honk your horn for awhile. You shouldn't really get that worked up about the Oilers.

Not even a hint of being worked up in my post. Just telling it like it is for those living in denial.
I guess when you don't have a valid rebuttal or alternative and effectively agree with what was said, you can always fall back on this stuff. Attempt to change the channel or what?

So exactly what would be a valid rebuttal? Flames suck! Would that work?
You are right when saying there is no hint of anything in your post.

That was just a flat out sad effort by what looked like a club with absolutely no mojo, the first 10 minutes was just OK then down 1 - 0 and from there on in it was a crap show, it really is looking like another lost season for us. and an X oilers goalie shuts us out yet again

You can sprinkle this team with superstars and ohh wait a minute it has but is in the department of no response from coaching staff....so like I mentioned before...fire the coach(s).
Good win for Vegas and Canucks last night

Smith in goal again tonight. Definitely going against the grain. This better work, Tip. You're already taking a lot of heat on social media for that decision.

If they score as many goals as they did last night it really doesn't matter who they have in net, and my bet is the coaches decisions on who starts in net is not made based on what is on social media. just saying
And there we go down 1 - 0 after a PPG by the hawks

Oh, I don't know, perhaps a well thought out alternative approach or solution to resolve the glaring defense and goaltending issues from what was suggested
Don't worry though, I fully understand why you'd be at a loss for words on those topics, ya got nothing.
p.s. How's the defense and goaltending tonight? Any better?

two for two....Mikko, Mikko, where art thou, Mikko...
.....At the same time, gotta feel for Smith...a goalie wants to stop everything thrown at him..

Markstrom with a .923 SV% and 7 shutouts and yet, only 3 points up in the standings.
You should trade him. Obviously there's a problem.
You blab like your teams tops in the West. Its hilarious.

I'm guessing either would be more than equal to what they've currently got.

Well, this is what I posted back on Jan. 11th. I know it is peanuts compared to your brilliant hockey mind.
I think they will trade Kosk and a 3rd/4th round pick to a non contender with lots cap space, for further considerations.
The Oilers have $950000 currently available at the deadline, so that, with the 4.5 from Kosk, should give them so wiggle room for some bottom 6 help and possibly a 3rd/4th defensive orientated d-man.
Then I would like to see them package up Yamo, 1st round, a d prospect other than Broberg, and the Neal contract to go after a legit Goalie.
If everything goes good with Holloway, I see Yamo expendable because I can't see him in a 3rd or 4th line role.
I am sure you have been told countless times you are wasting your exceptional talents on the internet and are surely meant for greater things.
For the love of God man, just chase your dreams!

Why does Tippett treat Smith like they are buddies on a beer league team?
Before tonight's game he had a 3.80 GAA and .893 SV%.
And the defense were worst than last night. Just a complete mess and not winning any battles.
