No need for a terror diversion in Canuckistan.
The diversion will be simple.
Harps gets back from South America just in time to adjourn Parliament for the summer.
After a long hot summer in Alberta and Southern Ontario, Joe Six Pack and Betty Sweatpants will forget completely about the corrupted shenanigans of Brazeau, Wallins, Puffy, Harpo and Wright
Joe and Betty are already completely diverted watching the Rob Ford crack video scandal and have now lost interest in Harpo and his rich pals ripping of the taxpayer.

I'm sure there's more to the stroy and it will unfold..
Could save face by abolishing the fricken Senate. What purpose does that patronage haven serve except to allow Liberals and Conservatives to outdo each other by stacking with their flunkies.

x2
But... I think the senate is ...or more correctkly clould be important to us.... if elected and for term.
Otherwise we'd have no checks in place when a majority government is elected.... kind of like now....lol

To be honest... a theory is not a question. Theories are much more than mere con jecture.
So... the key word... shouldn't be theory... but I do get your drift and I tend to agree.
That said... just about everything done politically involves some level of conspiracy and once inawhile its a biggie.
Any Albertan who knows the real origins of the origins of the animosity between Calgary and Edmonton..... knows conspiracies by politicians can and do occur.... and they can have big.... long term impacts.

The operative word in circular reasoning is circular. If someone can neither support nor refute a supposition they can dispense with reasoning and go round and round and round and round and round and...
False flag attacks are well documented.
Diversions for the public are as well.
If you'd like to familiarize yourself with these methods it takes but a little initiative.

"I'm not your secretary... if you want to refute something.... do your own work"
I didn't make the statements. I didn't expect you back them up. I don't care if you present something as your opinion, I then take it for what it's worth. I do have a problem with the way you constantly make statements that you present as true, but can't find any back up for them.
All hat and no cowboy.
Change???
"What Canadians need to do is to participate in fundimental democracy... protest... loudly and start demanding change.
Problem is... the hill is in a place where the people don't want those changes."
Were you looking for change like the U.S. asked for and got???
I know a few Americans who are not happy with any of the change.

Mike Duffy is radioactive.
The one-time Conservative cheerleader is now the poster boy for the filth which envelops the party brand.
From the Toronto Star: http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2...im_harper.html
If old Harps keeps it up - the change Canadians will want will be another Trudeau - be careful what you ask for!
Trudeaus job is getting a whole lot easier as Harpos lies and cover-ups eat him alive.

I wonder how you apply for a Senate appointment?? It looks like there might be a couple of openings soon, well at least once they get that court ruling on whether or not they can dissolve the senate.

Nice try...
You know they are verifiable... you participated in at least a couple of the discussions here... around those issues.
You could try to prove me wrong though.
I assume you do not because you know darn well... that you cannot.

Why not provide us with a list of the ones that have resulted in criminal indictments.

Same goes for the NDP, Mulcair had reason to believe he was being offered a bribe but did not report it to the police.

If you knew your history Tommy boy, you wouldn't be asking.
And if you cared to know, you would have already educated yourself.
Putting the onus on another man to inform you means you will never be informed.
It is only your entitlement that keeps you from easily accessible information.

A civil servant's largess
Does any one think that Steve's top brown noser used his own money to help good old Mike out?
Stay tuned, this is just starting. We may find out where that "special ops" money goes.

Seriously Pesky, similarly sized cities in the same province or state just hate each other. It's human nature. But the history is fun, eh? "No one city will get both the capital and the university. So Edmonton gets the capital, and Strathcona gets the university. Screw you Calgary!" LOL

This scandal is just what is needed. More folks will finally wake up and say "These guys gotta go". Elect the senate with representation by province like the US, or get rid of it. I don't care. I'd actually be fore getting rid of it altogether, with stronger provincial rights.

I'm not seeing a scandel.
Some MPs and Sinitors screwed up. Harper is ****ed and he'll make sure it is taken care of. What else is he supposed to do. Cover it up like Chretien did with his long list of scandals.
You won't stop people from doing stupid dishonest things but you can take action when it happens.

I can agree with that, but imagine the process to do it will be far from quick or painless. The SCC is looking at the constitutional aspects of such a move. I imagine the pigs have a few more years at the public teat before they get the knife.

Red, I'm disappointed. Stealing is "screwing up"? Harper may indeed be totally clean, but his chief of staff broke the law. Mike Duffy can't get a bank loan? My 24 year old son could get that bank loan. Charitably, Harper, a good man, is surrounded by weasles.

I don't disagree and It's too bad that people have low morals. I guess my idea of a scandal is when someone does a dastardly deed and says 'What?' and then his boss etc covers for the jerk. I think Harper takes a hit to his integrity but has enough to deal with the situation.

It is no secret the Harper is a controll freak.
I'm sure he knows exactly what went on and was likely consulted as the issue progressed.
Harper is not Teflon as much as red may believe it.
