I love it when people make statements without looking at the standings. Should be fairly easy but...maybe not.

We came out flying beating Fleury but not the post on a couple occasions.
Then KOSK lets in a softy. Takes all the air out of the team. KOSK just CANT let those go in. No matter how good you play after that, the damage is done.
I sure hope our injury woes slow down.....Geezuz.
If we get healthy we will do some real damage, hopefully we don't run out of runway before that happens.

Back to back games, the team that played the night before usually has an advantage to the start of the game. The last half is where it falls off. Apparently.

No way I'm blaming Koskinen for that game, he was solid overall. If they fold after a goal like that, they've got no business playing in the NHL. I'd love for him to make that save for sure, but one goal in the first period on a laser of a shot does not cost you a game, and it's not 1-0, it's 7-0 after the 2nd if he doesn't stand on his head.
Fleury was good, but what I saw was some incredibly bad puck luck last night. They Oilers dominated the first and had their chances in the 3rd. If those early posts go in or they find a way to put one of the many scoring chances and net front scrambles in the 3rd into the net, it's a very different game. They're not gonna win them all, some nights it's just not going to go your way.
I really like the adds by Holland, and you can see the potential, but injecting three new guys into the lineup at once is definitely mucking with mojo.
Having a couple days at home to practice is going to be huge.
They really need to get healthy and find some chemistry. The Yamo injury is far more damaging than I thought it would be, man he is a "game changer", and neither Nurse or Bear is a true PP D man, no Klefbom is really hurting our PP. Here's hoping AA's injury isn't serious and that Yamo is back sooner than expected like they were hinting.

Yes, we really miss Yamo. You could tell after one game missed. They had their chances but also 3 games in 4 nights. Bear is looking like a veteran out there.

Last night was posts, crossbars, fumbles getting shots off(Leon) and good goaltending both sides. Could easily have been 3-1 oil after the first.
Agree with walleyemang..... puck luck wasn’t there. At all.

Could have been 2-0 in the first 2 mins. Fleury stood on his head in the first period, murdered the Oilers' momentum entirely.

100% agree with everything you said.
What I was getting at was that they were on second half of back to back and came out hard and had some bad puck luck. Kosk letting in that very weak goal really changed the course of the game. I totally agree that 1 goal does not a game make, but letting in that one will most definitely make the team in front of him grip the stick a little harder.

Good thing you didn't pay much for Green. Sounds like he's out 3-4 weeks.

Sounds like AA good to go in Winnipeg. Kassian is back. Yamamoto may play. And Russel is super close

Not that I would wish an injury on anyone, but Stone (the good one) is out indefinitely.

I think he meant to say we have a deep pool of up and comers in the defence department that some day will benefit us.

Yep you read it right. Oilers Dmen
Klefbomb
Nurse
Bear
Larsson
Benning
Laggeson
Russel
Jones
All have played this year and I have no worries placing any one of them into the line up. They have all been solid. They have also all been ask to play up the line up Nurse in particular and all did well.
We added Green he will help. Unfortunate he got injured but again I have no worries with the current D.
Prospects Bouchard and Broberg are up and coming. Bouchard probably cracks the line up next year.
So yeah I would say we are pretty deep on NHL caliber Defense men that are playing well.

Well Tampa Bay did us proud this afternoon and took care of stick flip Dave and the shame's, now if the leafs beat the Canucks, and we do our part and take care of the Jet's.
What's the chances it could be that great a Saturday in the NHL

Well Tampa and Toronto did their part. Now the Oil needs to dispose of the jets and get the two points! A little separation will go along ways.
