Friend fished it on Sunday and said 8-10” of good ice,that was by the boat launch.

CV was a consistent 12-13" out to about 1/4 of the way across the northern part today. Still wouldn't drive anything large on but sleds and quads were whipping by safely.

Tried Fawcett lake East side on Monday , 10" of ice and ankle deep snow ,we walked on nobody driving on yet , fishing was slow

There was some areas with a couple inches of flood water under the snow and an average of 9 inches of black ice and 3 of white - off fallis

Friend of mine was just out there on New Years Eve and said it was around 10/11" and there were a lot of vehicles out there. My friend wasn't comfortable driving on so they took snowmobiles out, but others were.

I am currently working right beside lake Summerside and saw a couple guys out on the ice today so I wandered out to see how they were doing- the ice is about 9 inches and snow covered- one guy hadn’t had any luck but told me he’s caught 12 inch stockbows out of there and the odd nice perch and said that just this year brook trout were added to the lake- the next guy had caught a handful of 2 inch perch - basically every time his hook neared the bottom it got mauled by dinkyperch- I saw him land a couple so now I can firmly say there are indeed perch in Summerside - I was hoping to feel out if I could get permission to fish the lake from one of these guys but it seems like a really closedoff fishery

Was at St.Anne and La None yesterday. Bite was extremely slow at both lakes.
St.Anne 12 " of ice.
La None 10" to 11 " of ice.
A few vehicles on both lakes. Still scary.
Should start making some good ice over the next week with the cold snap coming.

Was just there today for a bit. Measured 14" in front of the village launch and then a varying 12-13" as I headed west and further out from shore.

At least after this next week, it should be very good to go. Most of the charts I have read indicate up to 4-5 inches of ice over a 24 hour period. Once you factor in current ice depth and snow cover (which isn't too bad this year), seems we could be still be seeing a lot of inches added. They are predicting at least 3 nights of -33 to -37 and highs of -30 to - 31. Also the days around these are not much better. I'm sure there will be a lot of vehicles on the ice afterwards.

I was hoping to sneak out this morning but have thought better of it. Howling wind out there. -36 and lower coming for 4 days. I think I'll stick to some farm chores to get ready for this crappy weather stretch.

I drove on Sylvan at RR23 on the 6th and so did a bunch of others. Ice was 12”.

Should be plenty thick now with this cold snap.

I was out at Spray Lakes yesterday, 742 is in good shape other than a few icy spots. I tried Sparrowhawk, the trail from the road to the lake is in pretty good shape, and there is a bit of hard packed snow on top of the ice. Walking isn't too bad, but you still sink a bit, so after a while it does becoming a bit tiring lol.

All that snow they had has mostly frozen, so you have about 5" of ****ty ice over top of a layer of ice / slush, then about 12" of good ice.

Fishing was a bit slow for me yesterday, although I managed a few fish and lots of bites that I was having trouble hooking up with. As normal at Spray, the bite started pretty early for me (about 8:30) and slowed down as the day went on.

Was at lac st Anne yesterday
Ice was almost 14 inches so I drove my Toyota on - there were a bunch of half tons on the ice as well - only managed some hammerhandles but a fun day

20" ice at Slave access from Driftpile. Bad pressure ridge half way out. We made it off the lake yesterday at lunchtime. This guy wasn't so lucky. Cross to the East side of the spruce trees. Fishing was slower, but we did see and catch lots of fish.

I was there on Saturday. Ice is about 13” good clean ice. There were a few shack out already so I would say you will be ok.
