My broadhead choices for this year
I really like the idea of being able to re-sharpen broadheads so I am leaning towards a one-piece BH. I haven't done any testing but am trying to narrow it down to a final few. My ideal BH will be able to be re-sharpened, fly well at a good distance and have a favorable blade angle for good penetration. If you have any suggestions please let me know, also, if I have missed any good ones to look at.
Not in any particular order:
1) G5 Montecs
2) NAP Hellrazor
3) Tooth of the arrow
4) Wasp Drone (I know its not a one-piece but I have heard they fly awesome out of many set-ups)

Been hearing a lot of good things on here and elsewhere on the Internet about the Tooth of the Arrow BH's. They look sweet. Plus definitely a bonus that they are machined out of one piece of metal. They look easy to sharpen as the blades run right up to the point. Gonna try some of those this year maybe.

I have a buddy that swears by the G5 Montecs. Sweet BH as well if you can get them tuned.

If you’re ok with dropping some coin on a broad head that’s more than just replaceable blades you can check out ironwilloutfitters.com I don’t own some but hear great things, the quality I hear is outstanding

The steel in a montec is junk. The hellrazor is better but if you keep looking you’ll find VPA. They’ve taken that design to its conclusion by machining it from one piece of good steel. No welds like the NAP head, not cast, sintered steel like G5 and both thicker and tougher then the unmentioned snuffer SS.
I shoot the 1-1/4”, 150 grain version.

TOTALLY agree with this statement.
I have been using Stingers with great success.

I guess it would depend which of the several hundred broadheads I’ve got that your asking about. I’ve never bought any from Cabela’s though.
You buy VPA’s from their website or used on a forum like archerytalk.

I am using 250 gr. VPA 3-Blade Non-Vented 1-1/4" for my long bow. Easy to re-sharpen.

I went on VPA site and a pack of 3 was $40 USD. I was ok with that, but when I went to the check out, they was $34 USD for shipping. After exchange rate that would be over $100 CDN for 3 broadheads.

Lancaster Archery sells the VPA broadheads for the same price and you can have them shipped via USPS First Class International uninsured for ~$10 USD. Their USPS priority shipping is ~$18 USD, so still significantly cheaper than the $34 USD from VPA.

1)VPA 3 blade non vented-elk(80lb -700+gr arrow)
2)Tooth of the Arrow 175 grain-elk(80lb -700+gr arrow)
3)Innerloc shapeshifters/Rage Trypan-Mule/WT(Diff bow 70lb-450 grain arrow)
Also have stickland helix, DRT, muzzy, Alien Archery SB2 175 grain, carbon express F15 solid, VPA 2 blade, and maybe a dozen more different kinds to experiment. All bottom ones are in trial mode still, and have not shot Tooth of the Arrow yet but if they fly as witnesses state, they will be top 3.
Come on september!!!!!!

I can only comment on the drones but for what it’s worth they flew awesome out of my setup. Was very impressed with durability as well.

This could have been an isolated event, but i saw a G5 montec come apart in a foam target a few days after being taken out of the package. I really haven't tested many broadheads, but have found Slick tricks to perform great for me. They do however chip out sometimes after slocking game with them.

I’ll be using 100 grain g5 Strikers again this year. They just work.

If you are willing to spend the money the iron wills are going to be tough to beat. Insanely sharp and shoot about as close to field point accuracy as you are going to get. From my experience with them this summer they are as advertised, but the cheaper heads mentioned are certainly capable of killing animals. At the end of the day, it all comes down to shot placement.

Grim Reaper Hades.
Still have to tune the setup with these. Came well recommended from a reputable source.

the montec brand is fine, but the accuracy with wind drops severely with the full fixed blade, why not use a chisel points that breaks a bone better and gives a closer to a true field point flight. ?
I'm confident that QAD is the best drop away rest and pumps out some bullet proof fixed heads
Exodus is what I run and its $ from 70 and in
Couldn't come close with montec
