Knew I should not have gone there.
I like guns shows, 98% of the time I can walk out with a few things I can use, but, usually under about 200.00. So, today I went to Thorncliff, and people offered me deals I didn't ask for, have to say, that hasn't happened in a long time. One threw in some stuff that made it worthwhile, and the other dropped the price twice. Right place at the right time of day I guess.
First one was a 7mm Lyman mould, 150gr GC, a well designed bullet, decent price to start with, then he tossed in a box of gaschecks. That sealed that one, not expensive, pleased with that. Then I walked over to look at Bilozir's table. Zero intention of buying anything, just look to see what he had there and what one newer brand of shotgun he had there was all about.
Looked at the Iside Vintage he had, he says, today's special is tax out. Nah. Talked to him for a minute and continued on. The wood on this one was better than the one he had at the spring show. Went by again and he says, I'll make you a deal, and knocked some more off. Couldn't argue with what he offered.
Dammit.
