Found a blackpowder gun, thanks guys!!
The one I had lined up yesterday has gone to someone else apparently.
I am looking for a non-inline blackpowder percussion rifle kit for Oldman, who has just had a complete hip replacement and needs a hobby to take his mind off everything. He has hunted for over 55 years, and has decided he would like to get a deer this or next fall.
Again, if you have 1, or know where 1 is, I would like to buy one for him.
If it is built and needs refinishing he enjoys that, or if it is an old unbuilt kit that is complete, that would be awesome.
This man was my hunting mentor, taught me to flyfish and tie flies, I would really like to help him out.
Please PM me if you have something we can use.

Try these guys... But it seems the kits they do have are missing parts, mostly the lock.

Or try Clay @ Prophet River, and get him to order a Traditions from the States.

Ken
There are a ton of really good kits available for reasonable prices. You can also get the kits done to a certain level so some of the harder stuff is complete. If you are interested let me know, I have access to at east 20 makers. Flint locks can be imported direct as they are not firearms. Percussion can be ordered too, with little problem.

I am interested, thank you.
He is definately looking for a kit, and really wants a flintlock. Biggest reason is, in the apartment a secure vault is not required for primitive weapons.
Thanks Dean

You interested in something a little different? I know where there is a 45 cal. Numrich Arms Heritage model. It's a unique smoke pole, underhammer design, looks OK but could use some cleaning up. I'm sure there are useful accessories as well.

Urban Redneck-honestly I am interested in anything, he has been building boat and airplane models but I have seen his rifles, and they are amazing. He has time on his hands and I am hoping to find some distraction for him.

This is it, you can find better photos online. I was told that it shoots well, but could use a cleaning and some TLC to make it shine again. The flip up buckhorn sites are there, but there is also an adjustable peep site that threads into the receiver.

That's it! Thanks Cat.
I'll ask him about it tomorrow and find out what other paraphernalia he has to go with it. IIRC, it's about a 32" octagon barrel, and weighs a fair bit for such a skinny little smoke pole.

It's complete, but could be a project I guess.
It looks like the stock is synthetic, so swapping in a wood stock the requires some fiddling may be up your/his alley ?
How about...

I got a Connecticut Valley Arms Kentucky .45, and another .68 kit that was unfortunately missing a bunch of parts. Both guys were absolutely great to deal with.
