Sorry for the quality of the pic but this is my goto for the big ones in fishermans creek! I always have it on my vest when I'm struggling to match the hatch.

Great pattern for sure.....and that was the 1st book I bought when moving to Calgary to learn about AB fly fishing......was a big help.
I know it was a very controversial book.

X2 exactly,bought it when i moved to cgy,great help....in fact re-reading it right now being as I'm working up west central/NW AB.....planning to hit some "new to me" ES rivers this summer.

Thats the green one its called the lucas special here are some more bombers that work good. i find the bombers work a little better later in the season.

Getting ready for pike
Here's a cray fish pattern
Same fly just the bottom
I filled the cray fish with lead to let it get to the bottom quickley
And here a massive thing to move water and get a big pike I hope

Fish it during the giant stonefly Hatches and do well. Makes a nice Skid Bitch.

nice work guys, tis the season to start bringing the vice out again. hoping to do most of my flies for the year this winter, hell, might even bring some stuff ice fishing to keep me occupied on slow days lol

Everyone is so talented here!
I'm just a beginner tyer. I need more practice but here are my prince nymphs.
I'm having trouble keeping the wrap behind the head small. the middle one is the best so far!
