Good thing it was a young juvenile as it says only 80lbs. If it would have been a full grown I don’t think the runner would still be here to tell his story.

Default Holy smokes

It’s great to hear that the guy is doing fine other than superficial wounds.. hopefully no infections will set in and he will heal up fine.

On a second note, I sure hope they give him the cat.. I would definitely want to be able to send to taxidermy or in the least save the pelt and skull etc claws as an actual trophy(I’m not a trophy hunter, I hunt for meat.. dental work on the head are just bonuses) but this is what I would consider a well earned trophy! And one heck of a story to tell.
Thank god buddy survived!
Well done!

I had difficulty hanging on to a 10 lb housecat, although I was trying to castrate him.

You probably missed the using a rubber boot part to secure the front end.

Same here.
And I did use the rubber boot.
The cat hated me ever since.
I only tried to do him a favor. lol.

How many people can claim to have killed a big cat with their bare hands?

VERY COOL!

I would add that to my Resume

Ya. That would be a good story to be able to say.

Hope he gets to keep the cat

Decades ago my grandfather killed some sort of wild cat (maybe a lynx or something similar) with a pitch fork. He was a big, strong man, served in World War I, and spent a lot of years working in coal mines and on farms.

Default hard to believe

I am not buying the story. That cat (most any cats) would shed you to bits trying to run away until you let it go. I doubt a guy would want to keep hanging onto it.
