Default Anyone else sick of seeing trailcams?

Every coulee, cutline and deer trail there seems to be a trailcam. Im out for a nice walk in the woods and am constantly under surveilance. Im sick of these things. Next to my treestand, someone put up a trailcam. Almost liken it to littering the woods with these things.

Mess with their minds... setup a trail camera on the tree across from theirs so it takes pics of theirs and them checking their camera... haha

I wont put them out anymore because it seems that some people think that they need them more than i do. had 2 stolen this year alone.

well if i was a hunter and had a tree stand setup so the average person could see it and someone decided to put a cam below it i would probably out something over the lens so it will not be taking pictures

If that did not work and they continued i would leave a nice love letter hoping that would detour the person into leaving there cam beside my tree stand,

if that did not work three strikes and your out

i kind of agree with you on this one.....

I dont know what i would do if i was walking through the bush and had a camera flash go off. Why TF should some stranger be taking my photo. I think it is within my rights to delete the photo.

nope, public property = no expectation of privacy. That's been hashed out in courts many times and the outcome remains the same.

Of the 10,000+ pictures my cameras have taken over the years I have never had a single person on them.

Doesn't matter, if you're outside there is no expectation of privacy. PERIOD. Tampering with private property on the other hand, no matter where it is could be another issue.

I agree with that. Harmless prank and no one gets hurt and no property damaged

That’s the whole point of trail cams… you go out and scout… find a good area where you know there is good deer movement and set up a camera… why not use the technology we have available… keeps you out of you and your scent out of the area you want to hunt… I don’t think it has anything to do with being lazy… plus it’s an excuse to get out into the woods in the summer…

Your scent is still out there as you have to go in and set it up, check it and take it out after you are done.

your right... but you can leave the area alone for months... wear rubber boots, spray down with scent control and you will limit the amout of human scent...

It seems obvious that some hunters have lost their ability to 'hunt' instinctually and constantly rely on some kind of product or two ... thinking this makes them a knowledgable hunter. Sad those product hunters will have no traditional knowledge to share with their sons and daughters.

I think you picking the wrong time of year to freak out about trail cameras. As for the one by your stand, try hanging you ***** in front of it.
