Default 10/22 RCMP issue...

So I could not find any info on this on the forum, even though I know there were a few threads about this. Probably aliens took it off the internet.

So now that I bought a 10/22 rifle, any hope for the RCMP to change their mind and let us use the 25 round clips like EVERY other .22 owner can?

It's in the hands of the courts right now. Myself, I want them to be legal again. I think that the law enforcers being able to construe the laws is not helping anything. If the courts turn this decision, which is probably going to be a lengthy and costly court battle, you might stand a chance. My
Guess at a timeframe, 5 years.

Kinda doubt it, because as long as theres a chance someone still owns the pistol that also uses the same mag they can call it a prohib which it technically is. Gotta say i expect ruger to make a modification to the mag design that is diffrent from the pistol before the government lets us use them again.

The Rcmp have just banned a bunch of 50 cal magazines too.

They want to make criminals out of law abiding gun owners.

If you think this doesn't affect you, just wait. It will be your turn soon enough.

You have a 30-06?
Isn't that a "highly accurate, dangerous sniper calibre"?
Soon to be pinned by spiking the action

They want to make criminals out of law abiding gun owners.

It's one of the few things they're successful at.

The CSSA, NFA, and other firearms advocacy groups have launched a class action suit against the RCMP. As well the makers of the Butler Creek magazines have also launched a suit against the RCMP.

What we should do as gun owners is write to you MP and our public safety minister explaining how you think the decision is wrong and makes hundred of thousands of Canadians into criminals.
