Exclamation Bear baiting and sunken quad videos

Hey guys, we got out this weekend to do our first round of baiting and hang stands. All our sites are set and there is a video of that. Also, I sunk my quad in a creek, so there is a video of that action if you would like to take a look.

No life jackets. No helmets. The winch line should have been attached before the quad started going across.

I would have picked a line further upstream. Shallow fast water is better than deeper water every time.

you should be careful posting videos of you guys driving in streams and creeks if on crown land

as it is 100% illegal in Alberta and you are incriminating self to get charged by fish and wildlife/ESRD!

I would never post a video online messing up a creekbed for public viewing on here as people will report you to Alberta Environment! your license plates are clearly visible on the video will take them about 5 minutes to find you and charge you!

It is up to a $25000 fine and they don't mess around with this kinda stuff

Ontario likes to brag about what great leaders they are, but actually very backwards in some respect.

That very well may be true, but it also has nothing to do with what happened in the video and what's been said in this thread so far.

Also illegal in Ontario, and not the mention other federal laws against driving ATVs in waterways under fishery act

Hopefully law enforcement doesn't ruin your day as they are all hurting for 'revenue'

You are wrong again. The laws do permit crossing creeks on actual trails, They are on a trail

Does anyone here actually believe that he slowly rolling across the stream, not ripping and tearing or driving aggressively in any way was disturbing the stream bed any more than the high seasonal water flow? Use some common sense, he looked to be crossing in a proper acceptable way at what appears to be an old bridge crossing. The sh*t that is causing greif in the atv world is guys that pile into pristine mountain streams and rip around, doing donuts, water wheelies, and trying to get deep as possible or close to stuck and tear back out.
After all the sh*t i've seen done by the forestry industry in our stream beds I cannot believe anyone blames even the worst atv abusers are even a fraction of a percent of the problem.

You were doomed from the start. There is no way that quad was making it across with that volume of water flowing.
You're lucky it didn't turn out worse, water is a very powerful force.

They appear to be on an established trail as there are bridge rails directly ahead of where the quad when down. They are braver than me, I wouldn't have tried to cross there.

I would have edited the f-bombs out. It makes the whole group sound like a bunch of buffoons when on video.
