And if it turns out to be Chinese, and they get upset, Trudeau will just blame the USA.

Cuban rubber is known to be of substandard quality.

Justin Trudeau’s state sponsored media needs to get their story straight with US media.

WASHINGTON — A U.S. fighter jet shot an unknown object out of the sky Friday off the coast of Alaska not far from the Canadian border, White House officials confirmed, just hours after Canada's defence minister met with her American counterpart at the Pentagon.

National Security Council co-ordinator John Kirby confirmed the latest encounter and its location during Friday's press briefing at the White House, and said the order to shoot it down came directly from President Joe Biden.

Kirby said the object, first detected Thursday night, was not far from the Canada-U.S. border when it was shot down off the north Alaska coast over the frozen Arctic Ocean. Pentagon spokesman Brig.-Gen. Pat Ryder said it was travelling in a "northeasterly direction" at the time.

Kirby described the object as "the size of a small car," but had few other details, such as where it might have come from or its capabilities.

"I can tell you it was an object that was at 40,000 feet" that did not appear to have the ability to manoeuvre, Kirby said, adding it was deemed a threat to civilian aircraft at that altitude.

"I'm not ruling anything in or out," he said.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was briefed on the situation "and supported the decision to take action," he tweeted. "Our military and intelligence services will always work together, including through (Norad), to keep people safe."

Defence Minister Anita Anand said in a statement that she had learned about the object at the Pentagon, where she met earlier Friday with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

She said in the statement that there, she and Austin participated in a call with Norad commander Gen. Glen VanHerck "regarding a high-altitude object detected over Alaska."

At first I didnt know what to make of the balloon story, now that Trudeau is publicly taking credit for shooting one down I can only believe the whole thing is a hoax. IF the balloon actually existed, and IF it actually was in anyway important to the Chinese, there is no WAY Trudeau would be running his mouth.

I am very much reminded of how Obama managed to bounce back from some pretty low approval ratings by allegedly ridding the world of Osama Bin Laden. To me this stunt smells about the same. Most likely no balloons were harmed in the filming of this political diversion.

The only puzzlement is why balloons? Such a random and laughable threat, but hey, if we fell for Covid we'll obviously believe anything.... "Papa Trudeau please save us from the scary balloons. Just help yourself to whatever powers it takes to get us through this crisis safely. We will never again honk our horns in defiance."

100% true. Not only is The Turd a brilliant military strategist, as proven here by him ordering an American fighter jet to shoot this 2nd UFO down, but he's also a financial genius..... look it how great the economy is doing. We should all sleep better tonight for sure.

According to JT he gave the order for the US F-22 to shoot down the “aerial object”.
Maybe Danielle Smiths meeting with home worked, he’s now protecting Alberta.

Another object shot down over Alaska earlier

Trudeau was simply contacted as a courtesy

He makes it sound like he gave the orders.

The US shot it down. Good for them.

Wink

Heard it was a F22 that got the kill

We scrambled our jets but they went unserviceable when started up so due to budget restraints, lack of personnel we opted out of this fight

Laugh it up.
Laughter it up now.
You won’t be laughing when 30 million balloons blacken the western sky’s, each one containing a Chinese soldier with a parachute and lever action 30-30.
Hug and kiss your family’s now. The future looks bleak.

They will each have an SKS, and Trudeau will send the RCMP to confiscate them and of course they will just hand them all over to the RCMP when asked, they wouldn't dare to defy the RCMP. Then Trudeau will compensate China for every SKS.

Pretty sad state of affairs when our own military is unable to defend ourselves from balloons. What if it were a missile or squadron of jets sent to destroy some of our infastructure. If we were not living next door to the US whatever would we do, we are a country pretty much unable to defend ourselves in any meaningful way from even the smallest threat.
