Default Which Nightforce reticle???

Starting to think about putting a new nightforce scope on my 6.5-284. It will be a 5.5-22x50 zero stop second focal plane. I want to be able to shoot out to at least a 1000 yds. Just wondering what reticle you guys think would be best. I won't be shooting competition but the rifle will be mainly for targeting but maybe the odd long range coyote. I have it narrowed down to the MOAR, the NPR-1 or the velocity. I like the idea of the velocity reticle with holdover points out to 1000yds but don't think it would be as accurate as dialing. What's your thoughts???

I like the NPR-1, I just find it really fine for my old eyes. It may just be a matter of getting use to it. I see grouse river has the NPR-1 for $1799. Probably no zero stop on that one though.

The MOAR would be my choice. With the FFP and MOA marked turrets you're ready for all kinds of range. Set the zero lock stop at 300 yds and try not to giggle when long shot hits are made.

I really like the MOAR as well. My concern with a FFP scope is the thickness of the cross hairs or reticle at high magnification.

I don't think the NP2DD is available in the 5.5-22x50. With that reticle wouldn't you have to dial all shots?

I would get the MOAR as it would match your turrets at the pre determined power setting. I would seriously look at a ffp scope so your reticle always matches your clicks regardless of power setting. In my books zero-stop and locking turrets are a absolute must in a long range scope.

NP-R1 if you like fine, NP-R2 if you like coarse. I prefer the NP-R1, really easy to know the exact values and awesome for making follow up shot adjustments.
