What is everyone shooting for a rest
Not a fan of my ripcord rest do to the click when it raises and if I don’t manually lift the rest before drawing back it comes up bouncing my arrow before reaching full draw. This is even when drawing super slow and smooth
Want something smooth and quiet what are you guys using

Mine is maybe not the quietest, but I've never been busted because of it.
It's smooth, accurate, and more importantly, extremely RELIABLE.
It goes by many names, but most commonly known as...the Whisker Biscuit.

Q. A. D.
Nothing more to be said. Rock solid and even stays up upon letdown.
Jimbows replaced mine when it went down after 14 years of service without a single penny leaving my pocket, due to the lifetime warranty.

Ive used both QAD and Ripcord and both have performed great. Both also have excellent warranty. Ripcord has brand new rests coming out this spring that look really nice but they aren't available anywhere around here yet. That's what I'm planning on trying next. I had an issue with my current ripcord and broke it. I sent it back and they sent me a brand new one, easy peasy. Hard to beat that customer service!

I'm using a QAD fall away rest. Had it for 4 years with no issues.
Highly recommend it.

2 options
I would say the majority of folks either shoot a QAD if they want a cable driven, or a Hamskea if they want a limb driven.
QAD probably has nicer features, and the Hamskea is a little more bullet proof and can be fixed or adjusted in the field.
I currently have QAD's on my 2 bows, but have been tempted several times to try a Hamskea. Both companies have beyond excellent CS.

I can honestly say outside of freezing a WB once(combination of my error and -30 so not a normal thing) and replacing the biscuit when it starts to wear I didn’t have real issues with it. My wife has one on her bow and always has
It definitely has the KISS factor
I have had good mechanical rests and ones that I definitely don’t care for at all. They shoot well when working properly but have now experienced 2 that annoy me

I have been using the QAD drop away arrow rest for quite some time now and have never had an issue or anything malfunction.
Nothing wrong with a whisker biscuit either, I used to have one in my bow case as a back up if needed on longer hunting trips. Never needed it..
The hamskea sounds like it's definitely worth taking a look at.
