Sasquatch ?

I am reading the travel journal of David Thompson, a logical and educated man. He writes on Jan 7 1811, along the Athabasca river where Jasper is now, they came across tracks in 6 inches of snow. The tracks were 14 in. long and 8 in.
wide. He writes the tracks were well defined. His hunters who normally wanted to shoot everything, had no want to follow the tracks. He heard of Sasquatch and like myself,was not a believer. The people in his grope were all well familiar with bear tracks, they lived in the bush.He had no explanation.
David Thompson surveyed and mapped the country from lake Superior to the Pacific. I think it took him 28 years.

Currently there is a rover on Mars taking live video footage and photographs.

Mars is a 255,000,000 flight from earth.

We have real pictures of rocks on Mars.

We have no real pictures of Sasquatch.

I think David is mistaken.

Is the sasquatch limited to North America? There are 579 million humans in North America. 325 million of them carry mobile phones with cameras. Number of photos of sasquatch = 0

I believe there is a 100 percent higher possibility of there being aliens. There are no yeti, sasquatch, abominable snowman, bigfoot, samsquantch etc.

Thompson though was an incredible man. His travels are legendary.

My problem with all this stuff is "I don't know what I don't know."

New things coming out every so many years that were nearly impossible to believe in my youth.

It seems like the main point of all this “capture bigfoot” stuff is to drive tourism to the area, and not to actually capture the “mythical” creature in the first place. If you happen to do so though, looks like you'll get some cash.

I have a friend who strongly believes in ghosts. He has documents he believes of people dealing with ghosts in their houses.
So what I am saying is there is many strange things in this world we do not understand.

Look harder. Saw a video of a Calgary family in Bragg Creek it wasn't a bear and it was massive. And had a cone head. Seek ye shall find.

I've read a few different books on David Thompson and never ran across these claims. Might have to read a few more?

14” long ain’t much bigger then mine but 8” wide sure is. Bigfoot is like aliens you won’t believe it until they are probing you.

There appears to have been one in my deck this morning.

However, I don’t believe that these footprints are genuine, because, although they are massive, as everyone knows, most Sasquatch are still hibernating.

I still hold out the possibility that they exist.

Not just based on the encounter of a person I know well, but partly for the fact that it’s cool to think that there are many aspects of creation that we have yet to discover.

The difficulty now is that, while technology is helpful in documenting any proof, it has also opened up suspicions as to whether the recorded material is genuine, especially nowadays with the ability to create deep fakes etc.

Sometimes we struggle to believe our own eyes. I recall looking at an owl in the bush, less than ten metres from me, and I was pointing it out to my hunting partner. He said, “that’s not an owl.” So I walked in to that spot, and sure enough, it was just a curious-looking stump, that given my exact angle and the lighting of that moment, appeared to be an owl. It helped me understand better the lore of shape shifters etc.

Some animals are very adept at hiding. Especially when they have a very low population density, and aren’t pushed closer to areas commonly traveled by humans.

Even common animals can be in front of us one moment, then a moment later, they have stepped into the bush and you would have had no idea that they were ever there. We’ve all seen moose do this, and they are huge. There have been people too, where I wonder how a person that was in front of me, slips past me.

I can imagine that a creature with a larger brain, quite at home in its element, will be able to do a pretty good job of staying hidden when it wants to remain undetected.

Many of the encounters talk about the Sasquatch hiding and observing humans. Pretty sure they would become adept at patterning (and avoiding) us and perhaps even our technology.

Not to discount the many reports that come from semi-rural areas below the 49th . . . but, there are thousands of sq.mi. of uninhabited land up the north coast inlets. These places get some boat travel in good weather, but step ashore, or try to travel upstream in any of these places and you'll soon see what 'remote' means. Many of these places will make your inner alarm bells ring, and your skin crawl. Not the feeling you get when you're in G-bear proximity, but something different. Something sinister. If there was anywhere that a large biped could live unobserved, the north coastal inlets would be that place.

As to the Morris confession . . . man walking in his suit with shoulder pads on, sticks in the arms, etc. . . . and be able to move with the complete ease of an animal in its home range . . .
