Mrs. Greasy stopped by today. The place was locked and dark. Definitely not open and no one was there doing any prep.

Apparently their new opening date is April 7. I wish they'd pick a frickin' day already.

Sign on the door today said April 10. Drywallers and Glass guys still working away in there. I will be interested to see how they manage to pull that one off.

I liked the crew at Backcountry, and the original Wolverine (YK), but whoever is in charge of getting this one open has to clean there sheets, they have **** the bed in a big way.

I was looking for it when were at Costco on the weekend and i never even saw a sign, Is it the old furniture store?
You can never have to many Outdoor sporting good stores to choose from. It will also be closer than driving to the North end.

I dealt with Frontier Firearms (sask) at the Calgary Gunshow and really liked the service...their online website is pretty good as well, prices are decent...gonna give them first crack when Mrs Shooter isn't watching the chequing account too closely.

With powder at $38 a lb and bullets near the same per 100. I'm glad I hoarded when it was reasonable.............I may look into swagging and casting.......but then they'll just ban lead.......................Harold

Went and had a look

Achery ally is classy

Looked at 4 different gun prices par or less ie side by side 45-70 WWS 1395.00 Wolverine 1255.00 not bad not badd at all

I am certain that they will have my patronage and I wish them all the very best like every where some prices will be better some worse. I guess thats why we shop for bargins. I will stop in tomorrow for some new arrows not sure how the price will compare but the service will be good that will be the clincher.

I cant wait for the Barnes bullet selection to come in as it will be a great selection for sure!

In the end I am glad to have them love the location and look forward to many years of good service and a place to listen to and tell stories

Stopped in on Saturday. Really similar to Back Country layout and stock. 17hmr is about $3 overpriced compared to the local Canadian Tire and Sportsman's Den. Walked out with a box of clearance ammo and that is it. Really check out Frontier Firearms out of Prince Albert, SK. I bought a nice firearm there that was priced locally $50 to $180 more than Frontier.

Everything looks good to me, guess you nay-sayers didnt see them trying to get guns out eh? Rack was packed today. Some older stock probably isnt as cheap because it might be a little expensive to ship ammo from the Yukon!!!!!! Nice knife selection to be sure, lots of guns, and that archery lane!! Ya, I know "It's too short", but when a lane is to short, start shooting traditional, makes it seem a bit longer! I cant wait until the shelves are all full, and things fall into place, I hope everyone who went on saturday gives them a second chance, like Donny Bear said, most prices looked right, some where a bit/or ALOT cheaper than other places, some a little bit higher, but should all balance out. For sure another place to loose money, but atleast its supporting a local business. Plus any handgun shooters should be happy to see more selection in Red Deer! Lookin' good Wolverine!

Any of you lake trout guys/gals that like to drag around a spoon should stop in and grab a couple of their lures.

They should have lots of the small ones.....they didn't sell very well up here

Must be nice to have a store
