Not confirmed attacks as of yet. However, right at the finish line? Hard to believe it's a gas line, etc... just judging by the convenient high profile location.

WTF is wrong with this world? Foreign terrorists? Homegrown? Boston Marathon, AND celebrating "Patriot Day", screams homegrown - but who really knows. Judging by the carnage, there pretty much has to be fatalities. Condolences to the families.

There is a lot of blood on the street in a few of those photos, it doesn't look good for some people. This world is pretty messed up these days.

but really odd timing for the explosions. It was 2.5 hours after the winners completed. I would imagine that would have been the time of the largest crowds.

Twitter, which has been ahead of the news all day, is reporting secondary unexploded devices found.

x2

The likelihood that this is an accident of some kind is slim to nil. Unbelievable.

For every action there is the certainty of a political over-reaction. Our prayers go out to those effected by this cowardly act and also for the wisdom of those in power to make good decisions in order to deal with the bastards responsible in such a way that others considering such actions will think twice.

Prayers sent, Bessie.

Ummm. It's tax day in the US today and Patriot Day in Boston. Coincidence? Sure doesn't seem like a paticularly sophisticated event by any means. My guess is that when the suspects are collared in the next day or two they'll be domestic white guys with 500 friggin' guys and 3 years worth of canned goods in their basements.

A friend finished the marathon about 10 minutes before the blasts. Glad she is OK. Thoughts and prayers go out to those injured or worse, and their families also.

The US must have learned there lesson last time with evidence of thermate left behind

Not good.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out. So far, we have two small low-tech bombs go off, and all the other 'suspected explosive devices' found are probably nothing at all (not bombs).

This doesn't sound like the work of international terrorists. Maybe Gray is right ^ ... this whole situation just may be; 'Made in the USA'.

The next few days (weeks?) will tell.

Well was just watching CNN before I call it a day , anyway they were interviewing the FBI director and indeed he confirmed 1 person has been arrested as a person of interest . I don't know I'm not no investigator , but I think this is going to be 100% homegrown operation a few po'd former soldiers or something .

Just thinking if I was a terrorist I wouldn't aim to get rid of people's legs lower extremities I'm going to they to wipe out as many as I can . Not that I would ever do anything that insane , I'm just saying if I were them .

I think it's got to have something to do with people against war for angry former soldiers or something . But who knows maybe I'm wrong . I like tree guys thinking .
