Default General NHL 2024 Playoffs discussion

When I look at playoff matching… there is a chance that second round could have four Canadian teams playing. Third round could see three Canadian teams playing. The finals could have 2 Canadian teams playing off.

That outcome would be epic!

The leafs never have one a 3rd round. When they were winning in the '60's there wasn't a 3rd round of playoffs with the original six teams.

And yet, some didn't pick them to advance to the 2nd round!

^ Dunno. Still think it will be Toronto. They have the same problem as does Edmonton.

The first goal by the Rangers was pretty great.

The rangers just scored 3 times in 2 minutes, the caps are falling apart

So much for great goal tending and defense, 6 goals - 3 - 3 in the first 15 minutes of the game Winnipeg / Colorado

Islanders scored 3 goals on 12 shots (so far). Las Vegas scored on their first shot. Toronto takes the win.

Rangers are just a better team. Caps don’t stand a chance. Even though the shots are close, they aren’t the same. Shesterkin also, while letting a weird one in, has been on his toes. Great goaltending from him. Two shorthanded goals from the Rangers in the last two games too.

Vacouver 2 goals on 7 shots.

Great effort by the Caps in the third, but Shesterkin is on top of his game.

Canucks just beat the Preds with a lousy 12 shots on net all game.

Unbelievable…..

Preds block shots but when they get through there is a chance it’s a goal.

Canucks just gotta keep it up and get the wins.

That’s what matters!

Oh boy Canucks are either going to be in trouble or we are about to witness a Cinderella story of the goaltending variety…

Looks like Hughes might be injured as well.... chance of them winning keeps decreasing. I think its better for Oilers if Nashville wins.
