Infamous Poacher Running for Directors Seat in APOS
Thought this might be of interest to the members of this forum. It’s come to my attention that Lloyd Mcmahon (Great White Holdings) has decided to run for a directors position within APOS.

That won't do their credibility any good, if he's elected.

He is likely the most convicted poacher in Alberta. No organization with any ethics or integrity would even allow him to be a member.

Same. Followed by a call to RAP at the landowners request.

If people aren’t thrilled then why did they elect him in to the position?

Did those people show up to vote? Did any of them run against him? In any case, it appears that APOS doesn't have any integrity at all, to allow a convicted poacher/criminal to run for the position.

What little integrity APOS had they have completely lost allowing scum of the Earth to even be a member never mind in an elected position.

In that no qualifications are required to run for a position, very much so.

I agree. I don't know how he is allowed to have anything to do with hunting in Alberta or anywhere for that matter. I can't believe some landowner hasn't taken him out already. lol
I have guided a few Americans who had hunted with him in the past and were offered to go shoot deer from a helicopter. These hunters had integrity and refused. I also had 2 run ins with him about 20 years ago. First was on property around Elk Point that he didn't have permission on but my friend and I had permission. He had organized a massive deer push/drive on this property without permission and my buddy and I were sitting watching one morning when 1,2,3 then about a dozen hunters come walking towards us from all directions. We approached to talk to and they all hurriedly headed to the road and jumped in 3 trucks and took off quickly. I recognized him and his truck from him running me off the road a week earlier in the Rannach grazing reserve. I moved from the area before the next season and didn't go back there to hunt, which is probably a good thing because I would not have been getting out of the way next time! lol

It sounds like they needed to convince more people to vote, to prevent him from being elected by the larger corrupt element of the organization.

APOS has become so corrupt internally that many of the honest outfitters try to avoid any dealings with them as much as possible.
There are three VERY disturbing facts that this election has brought to light:
The fact that the person in question is still allowed to guide & outfit and be a member of APOS is apalling in itself.
The fact that APOS allowed this person to even run for a seat is mind boggling.
The fact that apparently enough outfitters actually voted for this person is proof positive that some big changes need to be made. (Assuming nothing was tampered with...which knowing the individual in question and APOS’ track record of dishonesty and corruption is definitely not an unreasonable suspicion)
Several outfitters complained to the managing director. She adamantly “stuck up” for this person and defended his “right” 🙄 to both be a member and to run for any elected position he would like.
I don’t know what the best solution to this problem is. But something needs to be done sooner than later.
