Default Air rifle won’t cock

My dad has a 177 Crosman shockwave nitro piston air rifle that was working fine last year and when he tried to use it the other day it will no longer lock to load. He has taken it apart with no success in resolving. I’ve done some research on the net with no success. Any one on here have any suggestions or do you know of anyone in the Edmonton area that works on these air rifles for repair?
