Default Coyote fur frendly ammo

So I've looked at ammo at local shops and found 4 different types of ammo
-Winchester 45grain jacketed HP-40rnd box-$42.93
-Remington 55grain core lokt soft point-20rnd-$28.24
-Winchester 50grain Silver tip-20rnd-$33.91
-Hornady 53grain v-max varmint express or something like that.-20rnd-$27.11
My rifle is 1:9 twist I'm decently sure. (its hard to find info on)
-Savage model 10 predator hunter .223.

I am wondering which you would chose for the rifle.

Get the Vmax and see if it groups well, it should.
Those bullet open well.
The 435 grain ammo in the White box is what a lot of guys I know shoot for factory stuff as well.

Either the 45gr HP or the VMax.....I have used both in .223 and .22-250 with good results and minimal fur damage....stay away from the big bone in the shoulders.

I'm wondering would the 45grains have less range than the v-maxs?

Those 45's will do fine for as far as you can shoot that gun, no problem!

I've shoot the 45gr out to 300 yards on steel. I'm impressed . Tight groups and a 4 inch drop with a 200 yard zero out of a m77 ruger

Around here I think te max range I'd be shooting Would be about 250m anyway so I'll zero in at 100.

zero at 200 and shoot 'em from 0 to 200 no sweat!
That way if you DO get a shot past 200, holding a little high will do it.
if you zero at 100 you may be a little too low for MPBR.

53 grain vmax in 223 is a very kind bullet on pelts. I also shoot a 17 Remington with 25 Berger hp is almost as kind as trapping. Very very hard to find entrance with no exit 98% of time
