Smile Duck hunting- not done yet :)

after spending 2 of the 3 days of the long weekend fixing my daughters vehicle figured enough was enough. by noon Monday I needed a fix lol. loaded up the deks and a dog to drive the country side. Found some open water so game on

As walking in, I found 2 hunters set up, didnt want to disturb there shoot, so started heading off, they whistled me over so got a chance to chat. They looked chilly lol. they had been there by first light, shot 1 goose and 3 ducks, said it was tough shooting but they were goint to stay till dark. Wished them luck and on my way. 90 minutes had passed on walking back, they came back to greet me. Said not much shooting going on over there, giving up already? Said no, unfortunately I can only shoot my limit lol

As we got chatting they were playing 20 questions, I asked if they would like some help, they seemed eager so I agreed. Changed their decoy set up, blind and put there dog on a lead and added a few decoys, then the blasting started lol. They went thru allot of shells but they limited on ducks and the smiles spoke for themselves. Great day, got to meet a couple keen hunters, my dog got lots of work and it was a sunny, no wind kinda a day, good as it gets this time of year lol

my lab Diesel

my limit of greenheads, no comment on my elmer fudd hat, its warm LOL

must be hard operating a camera phone LOL

I'm going crazy with these dang stitches in my hand!
I'm seeing ducks and geese everywhere, but doctor says no hunting for another 10 days (not allowed to carry anything)

I think I may just take my stitches out and sneak out this weekend anyways!

And on a side note...

If I was allowed to lie on the roof of my house right now and shoot... I'm pretty sure I would get my limits of green heads and Canadas in about 60 seconds!

It's insanity in the air right now!
