Some of the electronic Key Pads can be repaired, others you have to buy a complete replacement unit. Without knowing make and model, hard to say. There are locksmiths that specialise in repairing the electric and manual locks on safes, depending on where you are.

My safe is very picky with 9v. Only likes energizers. It will work with Duracell in a pinch for a moment but it doesn’t last as long. Any other 9v the mechanism won’t actuate.

My Liberty safe keypad went. I called customer service and buddy walked me through a combo to enter on the pad and it opened. He then told me they'd be shipping me a new keypad to swap. Easy peasy. Hope your experience goes as smooth.

Further prove that back door entry to these gun safes is a real thing.

Yes but you're welcome to call liberty and have them remove your back up but when your keypad fails or you forget your combo you're SOL.

I think a great idea would be to two factor identity. Like a pin number followed a text pin. Then it harder for anyone to gain access.
